    Face is cleaned and the areas where injections are to be given is marked. Patients will be asked to move the muscles in your face to help find the best place for the injections. Botox will be injected into muscles in your face using a very fine needle which will cause very little pain and most of the patients tolerate it very easily. Some patients who are very pain sensitive, a numbing cream can be applied over the face 30-40 minutes before the procedure or ice packs can be used during treatment. Multiple injections are needed in different places, depending on the area being treated.

    Is there any special preparation required before treatment? Can I have a treatment as the time of consultation
    Yes. If you are a candidate, the doctor may be able to perform the procedure at the time of the consultation. If the procedure cannot be performed at the time of consultation, you can schedule one very soon after.

    Is there any special care required after the procedure?
    To prevent the injected substance from spreading to areas where you do not want it, do not rub or massage the areas where you received the injections for 24 hours. Also patients are asked to bend for two hours. They should contract the injected area for approximately 90 minutes to two hours, which will help the chemical to reach muscle adequately.
    When can I get back to work?
    There will be mild swelling and redness at the treatment spots immediately after the procedure. This subsides the same day and people can return to their everyday activities immediately.
